When was the last technology
conference/showcase you attended in the Central Valley that attracted an audience of
nearly 1,000 people?
The San Joaquin Valley has the talent, the role models and the capital needed for technology ventures in the region to succeed. This event will provide a catalyst for the next generation of great entrepreneurs and help you take risks, think big and succeed.
For
nearly two months, technologists in the Fresno/Clovis region have been pounding
away writing code for the area’s first Web & Mobile Application Showcase. On
June 22, 2010 the 59DaysOfCode clock strikes zero and two winners will be
announced.
The
59DaysOfCode is organized by the Central Valley Business Incubator and Geekwise and
hosted by the City of Clovis. The purpose is to highlight and showcase the
amazing talent that exists in the central valley as it relates to programming
and application development.
The
event, which is free and open to the public, will allow you to help decide the winner. Your vote counts. The showcase floor will be open from 4:00 – 7:00 and the top teams will present
their innovation to a live audience from 7:00 to 8:00. Prizes awarded at 8:30.
The
prize packages consist of professional goods and services provided by the event
sponsors. Additionally, there is a total of $10,000 in cash awarded to the
winning teams. Teams compete in one of
two categories: Zero Code & In-Progress.
